For the last 3 years, David has been actively involved in education and training within the manufacturing, supply chain and operations areas of business – with specific focus on the APICS (American Institute of Operations Management) curriculum and body of knowledge. Clients include state and national organisations, and various industries, namely; Perishable goods, Food and Beverage, Automotive Components, Hop Processing, Electronics, Plastic Packaging and Carton Manufacturing. David is a certified APICS instructor and holds the title of Associate Trainer in CPIM, CSCP and Instructor Training curriculums. He has recently completed the APICS Train-the-Trainer course and Learning Dynamics for Instructors courses. David is the owner of CAPESYNERGY, a business support organisation, specialising in Training, Consulting, Tax & Accounting and IT Support. David holds a Higher National Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting from the Cape Technikon, CPIM – Certified in Production and Inventory Management, CSCP – Certified Supply Chain Professional - both through APICS in the USA, Assessor accreditation, Prince II project management accreditation and various advanced Sage ERP distribution and manufacturing certifications. |
David
has been involved in ERP and MRP consultancy within the distribution
and manufacturing industries for the last 13 years. During this
period he has worked with over 80 companies throughout South Africa,
UK, Central Europe and America – 5 years of which was spent in the
UK and Ireland. His work efforts have included systems analysis and
design, leading full system implementations, system
re-implementations and re-engineering, MRP, warehouse management
systems and user training.
