Born in Cape Town Simon has lived and worked all
over Southern Africa but is currently resident in the South
Peninsula.
Qualifications:- Simon has obtained the
following qualifications:-
- NDT Industrial Engineering - Cape Technicon.
- B.Comm - UNISA
- Certificate in Computer Programming - WS&L
- CPIM - APICS
- CSCP - APICS
On completion of his Diploma in Industrial Engineering Simon
worked as an Industrial Engineer for a number of years before moving
to Computer Programming.
His employment as a Computer Programmer naturally evolved to
Systems Analysis and Project Management in Information Systems and
finally Business Systems Management.
While working Simon completed a B.Com. degree through UNISA as
well as the CPIM through APICS. He believes that his multi-faceted
qualifications and experience in Operations Management, Commerce and
Technology provide him with a unique set of skills to bridge the gap
between the people designing the systems and the people actually
doing the work.
Over the years Simon has worked on a number of ERP
implementations, MES projects and various other technology related
systems.
In January 2005 Simon started a consulting venture to focus on
the problems experienced with ERP implementations.
Simon has experience in the following fields - Mining,
Manufacturing (Plastic, Clothing, Automotive), Retail, Oil, Supply
Chain, Vending, Food, Education, Environmental and Heritage
Conservation and Local Government,
Simon is a member of SAPICS and currently lectures the CPIM
curriculum.
